I’m Jennifer Vander Loop, a PhD Student at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. I have over a decade of experience in business information systems, systems analysis, and technology initiatives. I am currently completing my PhD in Computer and Information Sciences. I am a Graduate Teaching Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant in the Actionable Cybersecurity & Accessibility Lab. My research focuses on human-centric cybersecurity, social engineering, and the impacts of misinformation and emerging technologies.
Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I held technology and business analysis roles in both the public and private sectors. My work focused on regulatory compliance and technology modernization. I led enterprise analysis and requirements efforts supporting system design and technology initiatives, with responsibilities spanning regulatory compliance, data governance, and stakeholder engagement.
I received my Master of Science degree in Business Information Technology from DePaul University and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay.
